Over the past 40 years, Delaware Township, NJ, has preserved thousands of acres of open space, including farmland, forests, and stream corridors. Within this preserved land are 24 publicly accessible areas featuring parks, recreation spots, hiking trails, and scenic farmland.

This extensive preservation of farmland and rural beauty is the result of a dedicated effort by the community, taxpayers, township officials, and both public and private preservation organizations at the county and state levels.

The Open Space Committee aims to raise awareness of the benefits of open space and emphasize the need for continued funding to expand these efforts.
